Blogging this Easter Half Term like diary entries.. Need to share my adult thoughts somewhere, conversing with minors for 2 weeks straight with very little adult time so far is proving manic and it's only day 4... 6 more days and 2x more weekends until the monkeys are back in routine. Ahhhh
After a crazy weekend, we started off this week with some simple at home activities, baking, making, walks and trips to the park. Down time was defo needed, then we headed over to Healey's Cyder Farm to see the animals... P.S when the weathers good our go-to place to spend the day with friends and their kids outdoors has to be Old McDonalds Farm, cheap and cheerful it keeps the kids entertained for hours, and its a great sun trap for the adults!
Still working our Business butts off the second the kids go down, so trying to balance activity and down time, along with routine in the holidays is difficult. So as I mentioned before, planning... We've compiled a list of weather dependant days out to choose from each day. Rainy day activities in one jar & Sunny trips in the other, The boys love it. We have a Family Time Jar at home too with activity suggestions like Monopoly, cutting & sticking and collage making etc in.
Children love spontaneity, I've lost count of the amount of times Dillan's pulled out an activity that is based around 100 miles away and we get the "no way", "are you serious" comments and just like that we've jumped up in the car and left for the weekend, they love it! The best was when Aaron popped a surprise trip to Torquay for the weekend in as a way for him & I to spend some quality time with just Dillan, so off to the Zoo we went.
So over the next week heres our list of visits we're hoping to get done:
Cadburys easter hunt with National Trust
Buckfast-leigh Butterfly Farm
Along with a Cinema trip, Rockpooling day and horse riding.
Having the children decorate jam jars and write exciting trips and activities down for a later date is lot's of fun, Pinterest it for more!
Here's our Easter break so far...
